Thank you for taking my advice and giving Louie NuVet
Where do I start? We just LOVE our little Louie! He is such a sweet little boy and we could not have asked for a better pup. It’s just our first day home and he already has us all wrapped around his little paws. He is doing super with taking care of his “business” outside. We expect some accidents, but he is such a smart little guy, I think he will catch on to the potty training quickly.
I am sending a couple of pictures of his first day home in Emma’s brightly painted room as promised! I have been taking pictures all day, but most of the pictures are of him sleeping because when he’s awake, he is a ball of energy and very hard to get a good picture of. He loves all of his new toys and plays so hard. We can always tell when he is done playing because he just drops and falls fast asleep. He prefers the tile floor to his bed right now. I believe it’s because it’s nice and cool.
Once again, thank you for everything. We promise to keep in touch and look forward to watching his brother and sisters grow too!
Amy, Matt, Ryan and Emma
I have decided to groom him myself along with Emma’s help. I wouldn’t say we’re professionals yet, but his vet was surprised at how well we were doing
Louie has adapted well to everyone starting back to school and boy is he excited when we get home! His favorite things to do now are jump up on the couch/chairs to snuggle, chase butterflies and moths in the yard, run after Ryan and his friends when they are playing football, go for rides in the car and go for walks. Of course he still loves playing fetch and tug of war with his toys.
He is such a sweet boy and is loved so much. Thank you so much for doing what you do and providing people with such wonderful companions. We can’t imagine our lives without him.
We are enjoying all the new puppy updates! Emma’s already working on Matt for a playmate for Louie.
Just wanted to drop you a little note and give you an update on Louie. He is growing like a weed! We had him in for his shots at 4 months and he is now 17 lbs. We saw a different vet (from the same practice) and I must say Louie, Emma, and I LOVED him. He walked in and he claimed Louie was his favorite puppy because he has a soft spot for buff cockers. (He had one growing up.) He also asked where we got him because he was one of the best looking cockers he had seen in a long time. He was very impressed at how well behaved he was too. We will now be requesting him when we go in.
Just wanted to check in and let you know that Louie is doing just wonderful! Emma and I took him to get his 9 week shot this morning and he didn't even make a peep. His vet said he was so well behaved. He is up to 7lbs and 8oz and got a clean bill of health. She couldn't get over his little cocker cut and said he was just adorable. Of course he awarded her with lots of kisses.
He has been a very busy little pup since we brought him home. We took him to my grandparents cabin in Wisconsin last week. He rode so well in the car. He loved looking out the window and watch the chipmunks running around. I have attached a picture of him sitting on Matt's lap watching out the window.
He is doing very well with his potty training and has mastered the three steps on our deck (something he could not do when we brought him home). He no longer will let you carry him down - he wants to do it himself! He definitely does not enjoy the heat. On the very hot days, he likes to sleep on the vent or the tile floor and pretty much goes out to do his business and wants to come right back in. On the cooler days however, it's a different story. He loves to chase the kids around the yard and explore everything.
We love him so much and can not imagine life without him!
Hope all is going well with you and your family. We are very busy here getting ready for the holidays! Louie is doing well. He went with us last weekend to the tree farm to cut down his first Christmas tree! He had so much fun running around with Emma and he LOVES the Christmas tree! I find it funny that once again, I have a tree with no ornaments on the bottom fourth. He loves to sneak up and nab an ornament and run! As I write this, he is scoping out the tree to see if he can reach any!
